I used to think natural living meant growing all your own food, waking up with the sun, and having some kind of perfect seasonal rhythm.
Turns out it’s more about leaving things out than adding more in.
I started small.
Walking the dog without my phone.
Leaving the laundry outside even when it rained.
Cooking with what was left, not with a recipe.
Some days without a plan, just stepping into the garden and seeing what called me.
Natural living isn’t a lifestyle.
It’s just life, without following someone else’s tempo.
I noticed my days got quieter when I stopped trying to optimize everything.
When I didn’t wake up asking if I was doing it right.
When I just did what made sense in that moment.
Sometimes that’s making nettle tea.
Sometimes it’s eating chips and not saying a word.
It’s not romantic.
There’s no routine, no list, no rules.
But there’s space.
Sometimes only five minutes of it, but enough to remember I’m not late for anything.
That’s natural living, for me.
